On the 13th, We left Lincoln City and headed to Newport. While there, we went to the Newport Aquarium.
Some of my favorite creatures were Sea Pens, Jellyfish, Starfish, Harbor Seals, Sea Horses, and Sea Otters.
We really enjoyed it!
From there, we went to the Hatfield Marine Science Center.
We weren't there long because we wanted to get to our next destination before it got too late.
I enjoyed the little bit I saw, though. They had microscopes that showed different creatures ( I don't remember what they were), phones in which you could hear different whale sounds, a skull of a walrus, a pool where you could touch sea plants etc., and many other things. It was fun!
Next, we stopped on the way to the next town at the oldest gift shop on the Oregon coast. It's at a place called Cape Foulweather. It was cute. :)
While we were there, we got to see 4 or 5 Gray whales swimming back and forth for a while. They were pretty close to the shore. It was so exciting to see them swim by and spout water! :)
We then drove to our motel in a town called Florence.
It was a cute little town. We spent the rest of the day at the beach finding shells. We found quite a few Sand Dollars. Some were even smaller than a pea! Those were really fun to find!
We also drove through a town called Depoe Bay (in Lincoln City). It's called the smallest harbor in the world. That's funny! :)

Later at our motel, we watched a movie called "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events." We didn't finish it until the next night because it was late when we started. It was pretty sad, but at least it ended pretty happily.
It was a good way to end the day. :)
Well, that's all for now.
~To be continued~
