 The Cross

In evil long I took delight,
Unawed by shame or fear,
Till a new object struck my sight,
And stopped my wild career.
I saw One hanging on a tree,
In agonies and blood;
He fixed His languid eyes on me,
As near His cross I stood.
Sure never till my latest breath,
Shall I forget that look!
It seemed to charge me with His death,
Though not a word He spoke.
A second look He gave, which said,
"I freely all forgive;
This blood is for thy ransom paid;
I die that thou mayest live."
Thus while His death my sin displays
In all its blackest hue,
Such is the mystery of grace,
It seals my pardon too!

Today's Bible Verse...

"'But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
and by His stripes we are healed."'

"In Whom Do You Trust?"

C.H. Spurgeon

"'Reader, this is an important question. Listen to the Christian’s answer, and see if it is yours. “On whom dost thou trust?” “I trust,” says the Christian, “in a triune God. I trust the Father, believing that he has chosen me from before the foundations of the world; I trust him to provide for me in providence, to teach me, to guide me, to correct me if need be, and to bring me home to his own house where the many mansions are.

I trust the Son. Very God of very God is he—the man Christ Jesus. I trust in him to take away all my sins by his own sacrifice, and to adorn me with his perfect righteousness. I trust him to be my Intercessor, to present my prayers and desires before his Father’s throne, and I trust him to be my Advocate at the last great day, to plead my cause, and to justify me. I trust him for what he is, for what he has done, and for what he has promised yet to do.

And I trust the Holy Spirit—he has begun to save me from my inbred sins; I trust him to drive them all out; I trust him to curb my temper, to subdue my will, to enlighten my understanding, to check my passions, to comfort my despondency, to help my weakness, to illuminate my darkness; I trust him to dwell in me as my life, to reign in me as my King, to sanctify me wholly, spirit, soul, and body, and then to take me up to dwell with the saints in light for ever.”

Oh, blessed trust! To trust him whose power will never be exhausted, whose love will never wane, whose kindness will never change, whose faithfulness will never fail, whose wisdom will never be nonplussed, and whose perfect goodness can never know a diminution! Happy art thou, reader, if this trust is thine! So trusting, thou shalt enjoy sweet peace now, and glory hereafter, and the foundation of thy trust shall never be removed."'

'To This Day'

Don't Be A Bully!

Home Again Home Again...

We got home from Monterey two days ago.
We had a lot of fun!
The weather was beautiful when we were there! Two of the days were sunny and warm, and part of day three was rainy and sunny. I was great! :)
We really enjoyed looking for sea shells, watching seals
and sea otters, watching the ocean waves come and go, looking in shops, etc.
I hope we can go back again before too long! :)

New Girl...

A new girl started work at PuSH last Monday.
She is very nice, and I like her a lot.
She seems like a sweet person.
I enjoyed taking a lunch break with her on Wednesday. That was fun. :)
I hope she'll like working with us!

Happy Groundhog Day 2015!

My Tooth Removal...

I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled today. That wasn't fun! DX
Fortunately, I choose to be sedated, so I didn't feel a thing.
I couldn't eat anything 6 hours prior to my procedure.
I had to take a 10 mg Valium pill an hour before my appointment.
I really didn't like that! It made me feel a bit dizzy and off balance.
When I got to my appointment, they gave me a small amount of mouthwash to clean my mouth with. It tasted nasty!
One of the assistant ladies hooked me up to a blood pressure machine. She said that it would check my blood pressure every five minutes, so they could make sure everything went ok.
After that, they administered the anesthesia through an IV, and I don't remember anything after that.
The next thing remember is waking up, and feeling very dizzy and
sleepy. My Mom had come in not long before I came-to.
When I looked at her, she had three eyes, and the assistant
lady had two heads! It made my head hurt to look at them for
too long, but I thought it was kind of funny!
I had to have some rolled up gauze in my mouth for a while so the bleeding would stop. It made me want to gag a couple of times. Yuck!
The Oral Surgeon had to split my two bottom wisdom teeth in order to get them out. That's because they were leaning in kind of far.
It feels strange not having them anymore.
Thankfully, I am not in a lot of pain because of some strong painkillers. I am still a bit sore, tired, and my bottom lip is still a little numb, but it could be worse. :)
Besides, it'll be kind of nice being allowed to eat ice cream, pudding, and jell-o for the next few days! Hee hee! XD
Although, it will also be nice to have regular food again, too!

Today's Video

This is amazing!
Meet the Landfill Harmonic Orchestra.
These kids play musical instruments made from
trash, and they still sound good!

Enjoy! :)

My New(ish) Job

I got a part-time job a two or three months ago.
It's at a place called PuSH Inc.
They make different kinds of circuit boards there.
I help make elevator circuit boards. I put parts on the boards, clip certain parts for different boards, I soldered a little recently, etc.
I really like what I do!
Also, my best friend works there (I heard about this place because he sister works there), I really like my boss, and it's not far from where I live. That makes it very convenient for me! :)
The people there are very nice and helpful! For example, if I have questions, they don't mind answering me. Sometimes they will even give me a detailed explanation (sometime I still end up feeling lost! XD) .
They are also very patient, and I really appreciate that!
I'm so grateful that God allowed me to get this job! :)
