Well, I just had a pretty exciting afternoon! I was putting some wood in our wood stove, when I dropped the lid lifter into the fire. I tried to get it out as quickly with salad tongs (how else was I supposed

 to get it? XD Also, our lid lifter is old, so it has a wooden handle on it), but before I could, the sweater I was wearing caught on fire! I had forgotten to roll my sleeve up first. I tried to put it out by hitting the flames with my hand, but it quickly went around the back of my neck to my left shoulder. I took off my sweater as fast as I could and hit it against the floor. I wasn't hurt, and my sweater wasn't either (the lid lifter handle is a little black, but it's also ok). It all happened so fast!

It was pretty terrifying! 
That was a pretty dumb thing for me to do.

Thank God I didn't catch the whole house on fire, too!

What an amazing story!

Caramel Apples

I tried making homemade caramel apples a few days ago.

They were very good, but I think I let them sit too long.

The caramel ended up a little bit hard. Probably because I had to reheat it a few times. Oh well,

they still tasted good though! :)
